SotN needs a native English speaker as an editor. Because of the heavy schedule of "things-to-be-done" and the fact that Lone Wolf has very little in the way of personnel we are now putting out a call for a new member for the team.
As you know, Song of the North is a non-profit project which is being published with as much professionalism as we can muster yet without it being a commercial project. We are doing the best we can with our limited resources but it is becoming clearer and clearer that we need more people. To be exact, we need a native English speaker both as a proof reader and as an editor. Bear in mind that since SotN is a free project, this "job" would be unpaid though you would get to A) read all the stuff before it gets published, B) get your name in the credits, C) have influence in the development of SotN and D) a position as a writer in case you would want to contribute in some other way to SotN as well and last, but not least, E) you'd get to work with us, the coolest guys in the known universe. :-)
What we would require from applicants is a certain level of dedication, we will try to make your job as easy as we can and the texts would be submitted to your scrutiny little at a time so you don't have to go through hundreds of pages in a course of a few weeks. But since SotN is still in its early stages of publishing, interaction between the members of the team is important and we would want someone who could dedicate a little time for this project (perhaps an hour or two per day excluding weekends? :-) ). We don't require any true "education" in editing, we trust that you know your own language well enough to be able to proof read and when it comes down to editing what we are looking for is a person who is able to streamline what we write. That is, make it straightforward and understandable. And like I said, if you want to write yourself there is always room for another writer in the team.
